JenningsGP Feb 24th & 25th
Had another great time at Jennings!! Dropped 4 secs off my last time. Still not ready for Intermediate yet, but maybe next time. Had one run off at Turn 10-11, but made it out ok. Getting more comfortable passing and going full throttle after Turn 2 and Turn 14.
Next time will work on Turn 3.
What sucks is the photo guy wasn't there, so no good pics. Next time.

What are you running now timewise? My last day there (12/31) I was running consistant 30's. My next day probably won't be until like mid April or so in which I will be sorting out new suspension bits and hopefully some 28's or so on street tires.
When I posted I had run 1:40 as my fastest lap. I went back againlast weekend (I posted pics) and I was running 1:37s-1:38s, so I made some improvement. Let me know if you go in April, because I'm planning on going April 18-20.
Damn, 1:30s...you are flyin! One day I'll get there.

I'm probably going to be going the week before that on the 12th. 30's aren't that fast. The buddies that I usually go with are all running consistent 24's so I'm not even close to their pace yet. I crashed at my last track day but I have the bike all rebuilt now and will be painting it next week.
So my next day will be a slower one (in the morning at least). I know I can run consistent 34's and 35's just by staying in 4th gear the whole lap. No shifting. Without worrying about shifting you can concentrate more on your lines and keeping corner speed up.

I started offstaying in 3rd gear without shifting, now I shift into 4th after coming out of T1 and go back into 3rd just before going into T5 and keep it in 3rd.
But you're right, it helps keep you focused when you're not worried about shifting.
