Default Cal-Sportbike Riding Schools

I know that many people are aware of our track day events (Cal-Sportbike Track Days) which we orient toward an upscale audience with the catering, amenities, tuning services, etc.

What I don't think some folks are aware of is that we also have formal novice riding schools built into our track events in every novice group (at any 3-group format event) and we have for quite some time.

We alternate during the day between off-track classroom workshop time and on-track drills, group instruction, and one-on-one coaching. And it's INCLUDED in your ticket price. There is no reason to pay $50-100 extra for a novice school when it's already here for you at no extra charge.

People seem to have an idea that you either have to pay extra for a school (which does hold true with our "Advanced Rider Clinic" with Ducati factory-supported racer GoGo Gulbransen) or just head out to a cheaper "open" or "race practice" club track day, yet we have been running our schools WITHIN our track day events for a few years with great success. Many of our professional instructors have been with us for nearly 100 track events since 2001 and our staff instructors are some of the most solicitous and friendly folks you will find anywhere.

Yes, there are very good dedicated "novice-only schools" (Keigwin) or holistic riding schools (Code, Pridmore) that have their benefits and we don't intend to suggest that we would supplant that experience. But for many riders getting quality formal schooling rolled into a track day event is a really solid choice for advancing your riding skills for a lower cost.

Many riders have been through our schools (many having their FIRST on-track experience in our schools) and they can certainly tell you that they are riding better today after working with our staff and being involved in the classroom workshop sessions. "Taking it to the track" is a wonderful idea but without having formal schooling to eliminate bad habits and to work on building skills, you're only getting half the benefit of an on-track experience.
