Yeah, another wheelie topic, sry!
Okay,
Been riding for almost two months now. Trying to take baby steps so I don't wreck my bike (600rr 06). I can hit the BP every now and then in 1st.. and ride it out for maybe 40 yards at the max.
My trouble is though, I'm trying to learn 2nd gear.. and all I'm getting is the front wheel coming off the ground maybe 6 inches? More RPM's.. right, but.. the way I'm learning is to rev up the RPM's just a tad (in 1st gear) then clutch it. Really starting to get it down.. but when it comes to 2nd everything just becomes fubar.
Any suggestions?
thanks!

i had the same problem recently when i had 1st gear wheelies down (finally), i tried to do them in 2nd gear and nothing. to get to BP in 2nd gear, i have to be rolling at about 5000 rpm, then when i clutch it i give it full throttle to get it up. i have to do this standing up though, i still haven't gotten up to BP in 2nd gear sitting down. the first time i finally got it up in 2nd gear i nearly **** myself (i'd never done a wheelie standing up until then), so i'd recommend bringing a change of pants.

if u really wanna have something help u out, go down a tooth on the front sprocket or up three in the rear. this will give u more torque, help u come outta turns harder and let u still have a high top speed... but its a lot harder on stock sprockets rockin one wheel on bp with out standing staggard or having sprockets....

The bike would feel like it has no weight to it an it would be stayin around the same speed give or take a few mph... all depends on the bike and the rider. i actually rode a buddies stock 600 rr last night at the parking lot and its harder than hell. especially me used to being up 10 in the rear. but there is no other way around it but practice. just remember to keep the rear break cover just incase needed.
