Default Wheelie help

Hey guys !!! I used to have a cbr 954 loved it, I could wheelie the hell out of it I rode almost a 2 1/2 mile stand up. A lot of people told me that the 954 was one of the best bikes for wheelies. Well I sold it big mistake, and got a cbr 1000. It just seems like its harder to do a stand up on it. I mean some times I get it some times I don't. The bp feels like its so high then I'm having a hard time steering it. If you go on www.youtube.com search camman565 3 videos come up look at the video called At it Again that's me doing the wheelie in the beginning. I guess what I'm trying to ask is could the 954 be easier to wheelie or do you think that I just need more time on the bike I had it for 2 mouths now, I do a lot of riding I like to do highway wheelies so I don't want to gear it to much its stock gearing do you think it would help to go one down on the front sprocket, my 954 was stock gearing but felt like it had more low end ,also I only ride stand ups 2nd gear, only time I do a sit down is if I'm shifting. ALSO IF YOU WATCH ALL OF THE VIDO THATS NOT ME OR MY 954 GETTING RAPE BY THEM OTHER BIKES. Some of the videos are old two of my friends had 954's. Only one of me is the blackwater picture video.

dont change the gearing. u dont need gearing to ride a BP wheelie
if u could wheelie your 954 then u should be able to wheelie anything. just practice. my friend was riding BP wheelies on a 250 ninja so u can do it on your 1000
stand up staggard if your not already. its so much easier once u get comfortable in that position
o yea. get off the internet and go practice

Easton, Md. Yeah I know the state boy had to of saw me. Hey when I saw hem you best believe that I was down shifting ready to run. Anyway thanks for the info yeah guess I need some more practice. StuntinThe954rr we should get up one day an ride were not that far from one another. One more thing do you all think that the bp is higher on the 1000 then the 954.

we can meet up and ride
my bike dont have tags or anything so it will have to be a parking lot. i dont know how far easton, MD. is from hagerstown. if its not far ill come up and ride some lots or u can come here. im hopin to get another bike by spring to rock the streets again

BP shouldnt be much different on that bike, never rode one myself but once the forks are parallel to the ground your there. im sure you will get it....

I cant say for a fact, but i rode my bud's 06 1krr and i swear the bp is higher up. I am pretty sure that on the newer liter bikes from most manufacturers the engines have been moved forward over the years for racing reasons, thus the bp will be different or more forward. I dont have any real proof other then general knowledge of how bikes are being designed these days, but i dont doubt one bit that the bp is higher on new bikes compared to the 954.

^^^Good point on the racing aspect...

The BP is more of a feeling tho you shouldnt really worry about higher or lower because it is what it is....If that makes sense???
