Default wheelie bug

I had the wheelie bug bad...and yesterday was my first attempt at clutchin' it up. So after a 'slip of the clutch' and a rev...the front went light. Just popped up a few inches or so. I couldn't believe how easy it actually was!

Here's how it wentdown, or up I should say...
-rollin in 1st around 20mph
-mentally went over steps in my mind, slip clutch, rev, and release
-slipped clutch, just pulled in w/ 2 fingers, only enough where it disengaged power
-quick rev and at the peak of the rev, released the clutch.
-front just popped up

I wasn't looking down at the rpm's, I tried once, but it threw me off my mojo. I'd guess by the sound it was around 8-10K. Kept practicing, got one up pretty good, don't know exactly how high but it was higher than the others and freaked me out a bit.

Just wanted to share...what's the next step for keeping them up?

Equan- good job on gettin it up, now just keep practicing and keep it safe as possible.

Diego- if you wanna do a wheelie on your cbr 400 rr then just get out there and try it. you can probably pull a wheelie on a ninja 250 so your bike shouldnt be ay different. talkin about it wont bring that front wheel up

if it doesn't come up any other way, sit still, redline it, pop the clutch, and hold it at a redline. It'll come up

dont look @ what rpm (major no no) listen to the bike . start with 1st gear and get used to it before you try it in 2nd. learn the basics and then progress

do it on a quad or a dirtbike if youre really havin issues they dont even have guages that way youll be used to not lookin at guages and learn to depend on the feelign and the sound, personally i just clutch up probably too hard but whatever and right as i can feel it physically falling backwards i get on the brake, and then go from there, it aint hard but it aint easy all it takes is focus and time
