2CT has same compound in center as regular PP. It's a waste of money for all except the hardcore track runner. I'd say a fast intermediate or advanced guy who doesn't have the money or expertise for a dedicated DOT Race tire. I can run these tires at a wide range of pressures and they feel great. They heat up quickly (1-2 laps tops) and front feedback tells me when they're ready to go.

I'm near the top of my novice group at the track. I can get leaned all the way over to the edge of the tire and go WOT prior to the apex. The tire hooks up and launches me to the exit. I've got nearly 10k and 3 trackdays on the SAME SET of Pilot Powers, and they still almost look new!!!

Now granted at the track, they get pretty natted, and then a street ride smoothes them out again.

Nobody mentinoed this so i will. Don't take your bike all the way to 10k when you're trying to wheelie in first gear. You're bike is prolly fine and i'm sure your friend is an idiot. Take it to about 5k, maybe 6k and then let off and give it about 3/4 throttle it'll pop right up.

or stop trying to power them up and learn to clutch it. power wheelies are unpredictable, really easy to power over. and first gear is VERY touchy. i'm not pretending to be an expert at all, but if you're going to learn, i think you should learn correctly. just my .02

agreed - power wheelies are for noobs. i do them all the time haha. seriously, learn to clutch it up - it's much safer.

I still do a power wheelie once in awhile but yes, they are unpredictable and you will never learn how to BP.
