What do you guys mean when you say you preload to get the bike up in 2nd?

You dont have to preload anything to get the bike up in second. All you need to do is rev it up and drop the clutch.

r6 is right...just rev it up high enough and slip that clutch and u will be up wit no problems

The pre load is more for the power wheelies, meaning drop the throttle causing the front suspension to preload or sag then blast the throttle.

lol at the ^2 posts... Some people like to bounce and clutch too... helps bring it up a bit if you need it, but you prolly wont. its just pushing the forks down in front and timing your clutch up so that the forks are coming up when the power hits... gives it that extra push... im starting to figure out the clutch good enough, i see its no longer necessary for me, but i feel more comfortable with a little push, not much

i get more control when i just clutch it up vs bounce n clutch i dunno maybe thats just meh =]
