i've seen pics of riders doing burnouts and i'm amazed of how this is done. how are you guys doing this? are you holding the front brake? heck, i even saw a 600 gixxer spin the rear tire last week when it hit second gear!

are you talking about rolling or stand-still burnouts?

just rev up to 4 or 5 k and pop the clutch out while holding the front brakes, keep all your weight on the front....have fun.

yeah, standing still.I imagine its hard holding the front brake and twisting the throttle all at once. Knowing my luck, i'd be filing another claim with my insurance company, lol.

Yeah, its not that hard, just hold the break back with ur last 3 fingers and roll it with ur thumb and index finger. You just have to learn how to manuver the clutch and the gas at the same time, all while holding the front brake firmly so the bike doesnt lurch on you.

Not hard at all mate. Prolly one of the simplest things to do that anyone with a bike can do.

Once you get your RPM's in range, you don't need your whole paw covering that throttle, you just need the palm there to keep it in place (and you can even adjust the throttle nominally from that position). From there you just grab a handfull of brake and let that clutch out!

I can do a side to side burnout - I look like V. Rossi though, which slightly resembles a fat man behind a steering wheel taking a sharp turn! Hahahaa...

PSSS...you can also wear out your clutch...unless you slip it out fast rather than doing the "slowly throttle and let out clutch until the rear tire spins" way.
