we just use it as a guide...when someone asks how to pull up a wheelie, they arent gonna know what the "feeling" is.....thats y they are asking...6000 rpms is just a guide

it is funny how many wheelie threads were posted with in the last few weeks... if you think about it, no amount of words are going to help like practice is. I've been riding a lot lately, and i can tell im just all around more comfortable. Find a spot away, and stay there and PRACTICE!

^^^^^ good post and i agree. When i was ready to learn i read the sticky and a few posts here to find the most effective way to learn, i applied that knowledge, and practiced my *** off till i got it. After the first day of failure i was bummin, but no amount of posting here would have helped me. What to do is easy, the principles are simple, andnearly thesame for almost all the bikes. Get out there and grind till you get it, and if you think your gonna ride mile long wheelies a week after you got your first bike your WRONG.

at the base of your powerband or an any speed within your powerband. Keep enough power to be able to come down with clankin the forks. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. I ride with my chatterbox and mp3 player some times, it's all about feeling. I don't even listen to the bike anymore (as a guage of any kind).

After the first day of failure i was bummin,
no one learns this **** in one night though........thats what people don't realize. they think they can go out once and magically learn wheelies.

there is no need to use the rpms as a guide. people dont need to know the "feeling." you will learn to feel your bike by listening to the motor and transfering that to your wrist and rear brake.
