I just wanted to get it up on 1 wheel and next year when the weather is good for riding is when I'll really start learning wheelies. I was reading how it is better to use the clutch anyways as it is more predictable, so this weekend I might see about getting the wheel up a bit in 1st.

Yeah I am definitely not going to go for 12's anytime soon, when I was powering it up in 1st I think the highest I went was like 1 foot off the ground I'd say.

I might try to clutch it in first at around 15-20 mph to get the wheel to come off the ground. At that speed what rpms do I need to dump the clutch at? I am figuring on just going around 15-20 and then clutching it and increasing my rpms be like 1.5-2k and going from there, does that sound good or should I do a little less at first?

I have an 03 F4i that is stock other then -1 (not for sure if it is front or back I'll have to ask my buddy that did it before I got it)

Uhh NOO.

Don't clutch it up in 1st, that's for 2nd.

1st gear on my bike is about 20 mph whatever rpm that is for power wheelies.

2nd gear on my bike, about 45-50, around 7 or 8000 rpm's for clutching it up. I dont' really look though, I go by the sound of it

i've been told clutching wheelie's in 1st is good way to start cuz your goin at a decent speed. they say around 4-5k rpm slip your clutch and you should be up. plus in first u have more engine braking cuz u probably wont tap ur rear brake pedal to bring it back down. start low rpms and keep incrementing up, that way you'll get a feel for it oh and lower your back tire pressure as well to around 20psi if ur gonna try that ****

yeah bro. I just abt a month ago and I can ride a 10 to 11 o clock wheelie till I hit rev limiter. But anyway I tried in 2nd and it comes up damn near redline so u cant hold it for long. I also asked the same question a while ago on stuntlife thread is called clutch wheelie. They tell me to clutch it in first from damn near a dead stop. But you might want to get a cage or something first if u dont have one. Hope this helps ya.

eh screw the clutch for sit downs i geuss its great but your bike does or should have the power to pull it up in third once you get comfortable to it... takes a pretty good bounce but no clutch second should be no problem ...... and if it feels imposible keep practiceing ive got buddys that have been rideing a while and cant get it up for the life of them as much as its not t he same ive rode dirt bikes my whole life and it was less than a week and i had it down keep tryin it will come
