I agree with Nauree. Don't waste the money on a new clutch. Wheelies aren't going to hurt a clutch. Metal on metal noise spells transmission problems. A new clutch will not solve your problems.

Yeh, it happens in all gears. I'm 100% positive that it is not the rear wheel locking up. Tallahassee does not have a Honda shop around, so it looks like I'll have to take it to one of the performance bike shops around here. Hopefully they can tell me what it is!

Okay, so I been working my clutch real hard an not treating it too well and the way it's slipping...it's time to change. I figured that I'd go OEM from the start but does that just mean non-kevlar? There's a lot of kits out there and I'm lookin for a brand name to go with that some of you guys have put to the test. Here's a link to some kits I'm lookin at.

I'm also running an F4i, but mine's an '03 instead iof an '01 so there's no diffrence. Any advise would be great because I wanna replace this ASAP!

Everyone will agree with me on this I believe.

2 OEM parts you ALWAYS bite the bullet for, and buy Honda.

Brake pads & Clutch plates.

^ I disagree however i have no proof to back my statements. I really like the feel of my Barnett kevlar clutch a little more then stock, i think its just the stiffer springs, but it seems to snap back and lock in quicker. As for brakes i have been using EBC sintered for a while now, they feel a bit grabbier and smoother to me. Now again thats just me, and not at all a knock on honda's stuff, just personal preferance.

Yeah, I'm torn between stock and EBC because EBC is a pretty affordable brand. I sent out a quote request to our pal Leon at Carolina Cycle for the OEM parts so it all depends on the cost to me at this point...unless there's some more advise out there...
