Question Rpm

ON my 08 1000RR it's runs about 6K at 85 on the highway. Does that seem high?

Seems like power starts coming on @3k on the 954, but on the street I rarely keep the revs below 4k when cruising. on the track you can't let the revs drop below 6k or you lose a lot of drive coming out of the corners.

I put a P1X supprssor on my 2 Brothers M2 series and thought it might be causing to much back pressure at cruising speeds. It helped temendously on the low end and mid range though and I definately use that a lot more than setting the cruise at 85-90. Anyone who has the m2 series I would highly recommend the P1X.

No, that's about right 45-5k in 6th at 65, these motors are just built to run that way. I guess you just have to get use to a motor that has 6500 more revs above that even though it sounds like like your running it hard at 6500 at 85 mph. Much appreciated!!

I cruise at 35-40mph on my F4i in 4th gear so around 4k. Occasionally I'll have it in 3rd for a little more oomph or when there's a light coming up and it's pointless to shift up just to shift back down. I run the same gear/rpms on my little Ninja 500 as well since it's below 6000 rpm performance is nearly identical to the F4i.
