definitely more finishing. the hacked plastic covers look pretty bad. i might rethink the idea a bit. we'll see

As far as the shock - make sure the angle put on the swingarm from the increased height won't wear a gouge into the swingarm... Happened to me when I put an F4 shock on an F3[/QUOTE]

i'll double check that..

i think this works better for duct covers, and forms an effective screen. gave my tank a ****ty paint job with not much prep too

Wow, the frame looks great and from what I can see of the tank, it looks good too.

as with all my paint jobs, impatience, wind, and poor materials yeilds a paint job that only looks good from a distance...

but on the flip side all the orange peel acts like a knee grip!

Love it. That no fender looks is amazing.
Im my head (I can dream dammit haha)...
Have a touring built f4i, then want to build a stunt one, then a street fighter and park all 3 side by side.
Keep the pics coming

definitely taken a break from body work, working on the engine some more.. figure even though its a street fighter, might as well make it faster.

went nuts with electronics, power commander 5 with autotune wideband trimming n-alpha vs gear selection.

im glad i got that going, though, my custom exhaust and modified airbox threw the stock map out to lunch. in cruising areas i yanked a ton of fuel and the bike doesn't seem to mind at all. i really feel it hits peak power from 9000rpm+ at 13.5:1, although even in first gear, it's scary to test, so if i ever get the chance to dyno it on the cheap, i will. it's definitely been a bit of a chore to get the tune dialed in, im really used to tuning cars, and this thing is really picky..

next project is relocate key switch away from handlebars, then move gauge to top of triple, then add a spotlight style LED (current one is flood) for high beam and try to get them closer to the frame to tighten it up a bit. i might get lazy and just add the second light though. not sure.

I think you need something to keep you from falling off the back when you hit the power. That thing is saweeet!

im pretty sure my *** rubbing on the tire would wake me back up if i fell off.

that is actually a bit of a problem.

i'd usually pin myself against the rear of the seat under hard accelleration to reduce input on the bars

im adjusting to it

the added input of having less bike to work with definitely begs for a steering damper or something. i hope to come up with something on the cheap, maybe an HRC style one, ever seen those? runs from the front fairing stay to the upper fork tube, so its hanging right out the front of the bike. might look cool having one exposed like that
