Dies in gear

I have my 1994 CBR 600 streetfighter running now. It idles now and has a new battery and key ignition. I have spark. The clutches engage and disengage. when i go to shift it down into first its just dies... no jerking or motion. I thought it was the kickstand sensor so I bypassed it like it said to on another forum and still no luck.. I feel like its just electrical. What are all the possible sensors that can kill it when I take it out of neutral? Or has anyone else had this problem?

I think there is one on the clutch lever.

Check the switch on the left (clutch) lever. If it's bad, it might kill the engine.
Same as the kick-stand, pull the two wires and short between them.

I would still trace the wires going to/from the kick-stand sensor.
If it's the harness that's damaged, a simple by-pass at the switch,
won't eliminate the problem.

Kickstand switch or clutch lever sensor...no need to bypass if really not necessary. On the left handle, pull the clutch lever in and hold it. Look inside the perch that holds the clutch cable. There is a pin inside that springs up when you pull the lever. When lever is release, lever presses the pin down. The pin switch can get sticky and stays down eventhough you pull on the clutch. Sometimes a good cleaning can fix problem but if switch is bad, replace it cost about $25.

You can test it by removing the 2 wires inlet on the perch and touch them.
