Default Barkers CBR F3 build...the CRF3

Well just became a member here I picked up a 1995 CBR F3 with a 97 basket case for spare parts to use and fund the project. It started out missing alot of the fairings and needed some TLC so from the start I was looking to build a streetfighter. Once I got it to school my buddy beside me was redoing a CR80 so messing around we put the front plate on it and then laid the seat on the cbr and the idea was born to do a supermotard/streetfighter bike ..Heres whats happend in about a week of work.

Got it home like this...

Well picked up a CRF 450 seat and spent the day cutting on the seat and frame to "try" and get everything to line up...I have everything mocked up to start tacking things in..Only spot thats really bothering me is the transition from seat to tank at the bottom of the tank...I had to narrow the rear end so much it makes my rear tire look HUGE...lol

that seat looks way better. and i think it makes the whole rear end look better.

what tire you running now? stock 160? or a 180

those risers look good too, what kind of bar you using?

I'm running a 180 right now but I'll prob take it back to a 160 so that I can run a whole hugger fender. I'm just going to use some 7/8 dirt bike bars with a cross pad. I've still gotta cut some foam out of the seat and shape it a little better to get the wrinkles out of it. Tommorow hopefully I can get everything welded in, and all of the spots where I cut the fairing tabs off smoothed out. I'll probably just rattle can "dust" over the frame to bring it back to life. I'm trying to keep the tail section sort of a "trellis frame" look. If I've got enough time hopefully I can get the engine hanging back in...

Yeah well I got a lot done this week!!! This is how she sits right now...I still got about a week of work before a test ride and dyno pull...Still got to get the seat fitment right, and pick up some longer brake lines for the front. Then all the little odds and ends....
