AZ Bike Shops
dunno how cool it is saying negative/ positive things about bike shops around the area, but if it's not kosher, I'm sure the mods will let me know.
I got my CBR a week ago, but I've been thinking for a while it would be helpful to post info about bike shops around the metro Phoenix market.
I've bought both my bikes at Coyote Honda, and feel I was treated fairly both times. I brought in my old Shadow for service there once, and when it ended up taking three whole hours longer than I anticipated, Chad Plohal himself came out and apologized on behalf of the shop. The service itself is kind of secondary, I just feel as though they actually give a rip how their customer's experience is. Sales people are... eh, but in such a competitive market, they're kind of secondary anyway. When I got my 1kRR, I knew excatly what I wanted, knew I would qualify for financing, and had minor questions only, like, "How quick can I ride it?"
However, Coyote (on 99th Ave just south of the I10) has **** all for accessories. Yeah, they have the basics, but today I was in Western Honda on 71st St and McDowell, and they had both the tank pad I wanted, and a new visor to replace the scratched to hell one on my Shark. It's only a small shop, but it's stuffed to the gills with gear and people who know how to use it. I was delighted.
Such are my recommendations so far. For the bike, I dig Coyote Honda. But if you're in South Scottsdale and need to pick up something random and don't feel like shopping online, check out Western.
Anybody else got anything to add? Other bike shops in the area? Other good places to score gear?

cycle gear in mesa located on southern ave and country club has good selection, towne and country motorsports, and the cycle gear in cave creek is good place too. i live down the road from coyote honda and seem to make frequent trips there. i agree the accessory selection for sportbikes sucks there. they seem to have the avg selection when it comes to gear.
* Western Honda rocks...dealt with some cool people there. They seem like down to earth folks. Some cool guys to BS with there too.
* Town & Country...I generally try to avoid going there. If I can't get it from another local shop, I usually just order it.
* Cycle Gear in Mesa has been pretty good to me. If they don't have it, they try to find it for you or will order it. Some knowledgable guys, some guys just starting out--same as everywhere else I guess.
Anyone been out to Pipecity in Gilbert? Wondering if they do pick-up orders.

The only bad place I've been to is Town and Country. I had them replace my tires. The balancing weights on the rear wheel came off after a couple months. I took it back to get it fixed, and the service tech put the wheel on incorrectly and the rotor was rubbing against the caliper. I took it back a second time, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. I took it back a thrid time, and they kept it for 3 days before they figured out that they put a spacer in backwards.
I'm never going back there.
