I thought so too at first. Then I thought of how I might have reacted if I was in his shoes and looked up to see a high speed train coming at me and I had only two seconds to get out of the way before certain death.

He's just a CGI puppet really. I'm sure this was aired on a kids show for a laugh.
I first saw this clip about four years ago. He must be quite grey by now.

I'm thinking no way in hell. Guys that do that for a living know exactly when a train is due. And are in constant comm with controllers in case someone is running ahead of schedule
