Default A Winter's Ride

Well, with it being the hibernating season for most bikes, i was feeling very fortunate to have a decent day here in south Texas,(well between rain clouds that is) that i decided to take advantage of it and go for a ride in the countryside. Unfortunately, it's not the beautiful countryside with rolling hills and green tunnels of trees shading the roads like a lot of you have, but it is nice open road with tons of wind turbines that remind you of how small you really are. I packed a camera because I'm always looking for another way to capture Serenity's beauty, and I figured I'd share a few with you. I was also staying just ahead of the rain, so the sky was a little dark, but it makes for a cool back drop. Lol

Not very much vegetation, just a lot of farm fields. But it is winter, so that's a given. Haha Just wish we had some hills and twisty roads down here!

I hope you like the pictures. I'd love to see any of yours from a winter ride. And hopefully you are able to ride and aren't snowed in somewhere!

I like those pics. Thanks for sharing. Contrary to many people's beliefs, TX has some really nice areas to ride. TX Hill Country is really nice riding.

You

Are

EVIL!!!!

The white snow has turned to black slush here. They're predicting 50s-60s Sunday but honestly it won't be safe until a good rainstorm washes away the salt. And then I come here and find all these great pics of my home state. And you were RIDING?!?

EVIL!

Nice shots, but like Kuro said, you are evil!! Snow and salted/cindered roads don't give me the option to ride up here in the Poconos, PA. I may take a nice easy ride either Saturday or Sunday. Supposed to be in the 50's, Saturday supposed to rain and Sunday, just cloudy, so HOPEFULLY I can get out Sunday.

BTW, the wind turbine was going to be my next pick in the Motorcycle Challenge game, haha

Thanx guys. The only thing I love more than riding it is photo-ing it! Haha I would love to go up to that Hill Country Gotcbr, I was just saying there isn't any here in my part of town. Hehe
And sorry to make ya jealous, but I can hear her cryin' in the garage when it's ride-worthy outside, so I do what I can! Haha

That first photo is pretty sweet.

Kuro - you guys getting this mild heat wave too? I took both bikes out Friday for about 20 minutes. Was extra careful because of the salt and crap on the ground, but it was nice.

Driveway is still partially frozen in. I can get Ororo out...

But forget getting her back in without outriggers
