Thank you Dylan
I have been know to do some litter clearing on beaches etc before taking my shots ..lol
The old Cokin filters are hard to beat for exposure though, once a sky is burnt out it's impossible to make good again,
the best results are if you get them "in camera"
You're quite welcome, jules.
I really wish I knew more about cameras and photography, but I don't. My younger sister is pretty good with that stuff (and just got an $800+ Canon, too. It's very nice.)
I don't even have a camera at the moment. Mine broke. The flash is out of sync with the shutter on my A630.
Any suggestions on an idiot proof camera that takes regular batteries?

Here is how I reached the castle ... firstly, I broke the law and if the coppers saw me I would have probably been knicked!!

It is a public foot path, it is not obvious from the road, a narrow entrance down to a tiny parking area, then I had to open a big wooden gate and push the bike through, shutting it behind me ... from there I rode at walking pace a very gravely and grassy path to as close to the castle as I could get ... here is a typical part of the path I took ... and below it shows an area much steeper than it looks, the rocks stick up quite high and were so close to my belly pan.

I have quite long legs so was able to stand up out the seat and let the bike rise beneath me on it's suspension, then with very careful clutch and throttle control to let the bike inch it's way up the rocky surface, keeping my legs splayed and the bike very well balanced ... I was very conscious of tipping too far over to one side and not getting it back upright, I'm not very strong and my heart was in my mouth!!
