What was your first car?

RE: What was your first car?
1990 Pontiac Firebird, v6, Automatic. Car looked much better than this picture of one I found... but it gives you the idea. Mine was all red (new paint that actually matched... unlike the picture), and took all the abuse my teenage self threw at it. Crashed her by "choice" to save the girlfriend at the time from getting side-swipped by a white pickup. Hard to say if that was the best choice I ever made.

1986 Buick LeSabre Limited coupe 3.8L
^^^ That's not actually mine... that's actually a few years newer but only difference is the headlights. Mine was metallic navy blue with a tan vinyl roof. I turned 16 in Dec 1997 and bought this from my mom early in '98. Had 200k miles on it, and didn't exactly have a history of reliability but my mom had already had so many things replaced that it really didn't give me too many problems. It sure rode nice though! I drove it for a year, put about 26k on it before trading it in for my '94 Ford Ranger in Jan '99

On the LeSabre, I loved the Tip Forward hoods on those cars - most things were easier to work on with them... - And It's fun to watch the mechanics try to figure out how the hood pops too. (Though mine was only the 3.0L V6 - Tried to jump a snowdrift by school going about 40-50 - Didn't make it even 1/2 way through - Thank god for AAA, though the towtruck driver wasn't impressed (Stupid things you do when you're 15...)
