WOW, what a blow-out! Got that cowl in an Ebay auction for $65 shipped and had it painted. I ordered a piece of real carbonfiber vaneer that Im going to put on the top of the cowl. If it doesnt look good, I'll just take it off. Should look cool though, we'll see??

JMO.. not a big fan of that cowl.. once again IMO... If you want the cowl look do a split seat... it just looks too 'tacked on' for me...

actually its not much of a mod really, no more effort than installing a exhaust, simple bolton

I get your point tho

I did mine because I like the split seat look. gathered the parts for a 600RR tail first, then decided that was more work than I wanted to invest. So sold all those parts n bought a F4i tail, then sold the F4 tail parts to help compensate the cost.

I like the split seat, dont get me wrong. I know its not a lot of work, just obtaining the parts mostly but I do want to keep it looking like the F4, but also keep it somewhat stock looking too. Not ready for the hybrid project yet. Someday I'll get into that, Im sure. Id do it like Z but actually finish it, hehe.

I dont think the cowl looks bad, its not as nice as the split seat, but when I was looking at doing the conversion it was going to cost over $500....to me thats not worth it...I'm not sure if the parts are any cheaper now but that was checking ebay a few years back...of course if you do sell the stock parts like PG mentioned I am sure you could get at least half that back, probably more.

I think the cowl looks better, but the polished bar makes it stick out too much. I think if it were black it would blend in more and be closer to a toss-up between the two.
