Tail Of The Dragon - The Video
All,
Prolly my favorite of any movie I've made, yet.

If you don't want the theatrics ... just go to 4:20 ... LOL.
That IS snow on the side of the road in the mountains ...
This was my first time on any of these roads ...
671 miles in one day ...
It was cold as hell (39 degrees) till about 9:00 am ... high of the day was bout 68 degrees ... I left the house at 5:30am ... got back at 8:30 pm ...
My buddy Rob got a flat tire ... on a holiday weekend ... but, we were able to find somebody to replace it (whew!) ...
The "locals" living around and frequenting the Dragon ... have kahones the size of bowling *****. I just don't have the guts for that 70 MPH, drifting 3 inches from the edge of the asphalt, feet away from trees, cliffs, and "one mistake = almost certain death" stuff. You'll see them passing me (Yikes).
Yes, all those different color things stuck to that tree are pieces of motorcycles that have crashed on these roads. That is the famous "tree of shame".

i liked it too, you always hear the stories but after seeing it first hand like that i have a whole new perspective. have you ever mounted your camera so you can see the speedometer as well? just curious what speed your doing thru some of them turns.

This track vid has some speedo shots as well as other angles (I mount my cams in 5 different places on the bike):

magicrat, awesome video! I see that you're from the DC area. How's the riding up there right now? I'm heading home to Springfield, VA on leave this week! and picking up my bike from the dealer as soon as I get off the plane. Can you recommend any twisties in the NOVA area that might be worth riding this time of year? Thanks! and again, nice video, looks like you guys had a great time aside from the nail.
