Well, I`m not Jewish, but I support Israel 100%. They`ve demonstrated tremendous restraint in dealing with Hamas. It`s a pity that the Palestinian citizens ultimately pay so dearly for these extremist few. I read an article regarding a bombed hospital that contained the remains of a mortar crew. How cowardly is that, to take up a position near a hospital knowing full well that any retaliatory fire would strike innocent civilians. The Palestinians need to stand up for themselves and realize who the actual enemy is. But if they haven`t figured it out yet (what, 60 yrs.) they probably never will, so screw`em.

Very interesting...

They say a picture is worth a thousand words... but what are the words meant to tell us?
And what is the intention of the one who wrote them?

The Ignorance, and Intolerance for different opinions posted on some of the comments below the pictures is very disturbing, though.

I'm guessing most people (also guessing most of you we're educated here), have absolutely no idea whats happening in the middle east do you? Yet you all support Israel. I'm not routing for either side, im against organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah (not terrorist groups btw but believe what you want). Personally im a lebanese (adopted) and have family over there, we're all christians as well before you make assumptions. Lebanese people and palestinians have always been persecuted by Israel. There was no Israel as of 1948ish, it was taken from Palestinians and given to the Jewish people. How is that fair? Palestine has been around for thousands of years, and i do agree that this is the wrong way to go about things. But when diplomacy fails and people are too stuborn this is what happens? This is why people left britain and created America and the revolutionary war happened.

You could discuss this for yrs and yrs but ill stop now haha.

Same argument could be used to justify having the Native Americans kick out evryone else out of the "lower 48"

It is a very complex issue, and the solution is waaay beyond my intelect level.

Even if we were to figure it out on this forum, I doubt the "powers that be" would listen to us.

They are very interesting pictures, but believe it or not, you can "compose" a picture (choose the angle, bring in additional "props" etc...) to make the picture convey a statement that may, or may not reflect the facts of the actual event.

I do have my personal opinion on the conflict, but I will choose to keep it to myself.

Only reason that US is backing Israel is because its the only democratic country in the middle east.

Hey bluej511, me being an American is obviously going to havean influencein my opinionsregarding Israel, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, just like your background influences yours. ThisMiddle-Eastern conflictwill probably never be resolved and in particular, on CBRF (regardless of how great this place is), and we can probably all agree on that. It's a shame that people are dying whilethe rest of the world sits on theirfat asses and watches it on TV. Humanity has so much more potential than this, yet we squander all of our energy and resources towards killing each other over idealistic beliefs. The whole thing makes me depressed.I consider this place to be a safe haven for my mind and as such I have violated that by expressing my political/religious opinions regarding a subject as heated as what`s occuring "over there". Lesson learned.
