Default Painted my windshield...

Snapped this quick pic of the after. There's really no how to. I just took it off, cleaned the underside real good, Sprayed it with VHT niteshades, and put it back on. Looks way better.

Ignore the fact i didn't clean the outside, lol.

i have at least 5 coats as well. but i've found from using this stuff in the past, there's really no prep necessary. its pretty fail proof. just clean surface of grime and grease and slap it on.

Is your windscreen still transparent as VHT's website indicates it will be?

slightly, but i kept layering it on until it was really dark (my preference I suppose.) that's the beauty of it, you put a layer on, look at it, not dark enough, put another layer on, hold it up again and look at it. repeat until you get it as dark as you want.

But i have used this product before. I used it to tint the headlight on my 450r to complete my blackout of it. Light off, looks like black plastic, light on, shines through. a little dimmer then stock, but usable. if you're interested i'll try to get some better pics.

i keep saying i'm gonna one day use if for its intended purpose and do the taillights on my truck, just haven't got around to it i guess. lol

Me too, Z. I tried to spray my headlights six or seven different times with VHT and they always looked like crap. Cracks and splotchy and all kinds of nonsense.

The windscreen looks good tho.

Odd, I've never had any problems with it. I've sprayed a few things with it.
