this was my first bike/bike wreck. at the time I was wearing a hoodie which quickly became a short sleeve after roling and sliding on asphalt at 45-50mph.
Believe me I have learned since then!!

That first pic kind of grossed me out...of course, I have a weak stomach. I'm not checking out the pics of your legs when you post them, I may go into a coma. Glad you weren't more seriously injured...how is the bike?

Not to sound cold hearted but gear would have prevented all of that, you probably would have walked away with a bruised ego, and a little soreness. Hows the bike? Glad you were able to learn your lesson.

I was riding my old 01' YZF600R. I hit the ground going like 45 after losing it in some gravel slowing down (understand it was my first bike and the rear brake was screwed at the time. i.e.- all the force of stoping after landing a wheelie went into the front forks) it's not like I was riding in gravel but it was at the end of a street and there was some next to a stop sign. After it went down the bike slid across the 2-lane intersection and about 50-75ft after. I slid about 30 of that. Good thing that the bike didn't get too trashed. (left fairings, mirror, turn signals- all smashed) but still ran fine and still got to sell it to a friend later lol!!!

That was a few years ago, and I have learned to wear all my gear now!
