K...........If you look ahead you would of seen a stop sign, no big deal, right! But if you look at the road right before impact you will see the two yellow lines turning off to the left. SOOOOOO if the yellow lines are turning left and theres a stop sign straight ahead then that just shows that yes there is a sharp left turn approaching thats why theres a sharp left turn sign that DOES not require a left turn signal. That was not a T intersection, it was a sharp left turn like you said with another road connecting to it, that has a stop sign! The road the SUV was on was a main Rd. The road the biker went straight on was a road that requires a stop before you enter that turn. Off to the right could either be another road that has a stop sign or Yield sign or could been a drive way. The biker who wanted to go straight tried to overtake the SUV on a sharp left turn?????? The SUV didnt need to make a signal, the sharp left turn sign indicates a sharp left turn not a intersection. . Case dismissed. I even drawn a pic if you dont see it, I know a 2 year old could draw better but I think it gets the point accross. Did I forget to mention that I'm a driving instructor for the military?????

my bad... I'm stupid. You're all right. The main road turns and it's a secondary road that goes straight. Sorry for the mix up.

 

A classic example of cause and effect.

 

I just watched this and I swear the guy in the car signals.

 

He doesn't signal, if you look at all the lights he taps his brakes just before the 1st bike passes him before putting his foot on the brake for a longer period

 

Yeah, you're right, after watching it again I noticed it was brake lights before the hard left turn. Stupid biker, no excuse for that one. I ride with some guys that make dangerous passes all the time and I always just hang back until I'm comfortable passing. At least if they get too far ahead they will pull over and wait.
