Well, we'll see if it gets to production with those HP numbers. The new Viper was claimed at 650hp, then when it came out, it was only a modest 600.

Either way, it's still a Corvette. Park that next to a Viper, Audi R8 or Porsche GT3, and they won't even notice it.

Not to mention, the build quality of those things is pretty shabby. Go down to the dealer, look at the Z06 model, and give it a thorough looking over. You'll notice that if you push on the plastic rear end, the entire thing flexes in and out and feels extremely flimsy. Then look at the side vent on the front quarter panels and notice how it looks like someone cut it out with a pair of tin-snips. It gets even worse inside with the plastic panels not lining up properly, and the "econo-box" style.

I'm sorry, but when GM's flagship Z06 isn't even produced to the same quality as european sedans costing a quarter of the price, that just says a lot about GM.........cheap, cheap, cheap.

I agree for the money not the best choice for an assembly line car (production over quality). but I still want a reliable 620Hp Small Block[sm=badbadbad.gif]

you can nitpick all day long that the production isn't perfect, but for 75g the z06 is the best car on the road for the money... and for 100g I guarantee you they won't be cutting corners on this one...

further more every single car has something that could be improved upon.. even the "almighty" [see:garbage] bugatti veyron has spots that rust in the engine bay...

last month road and track even named the regular C6 Corvette the best V8 car (taking EVERYTHING into consideration) on the road compared to a Ferrari F430, Audi R8, and Astin Martin DB8...

Yeah, but........they test for practicality and price. Who the hell buys a sports car for practicality? (besides the Automatic Transmission loving Corvette Buyers) In the words of Jeremy Clarkson "Supercars should take that inner boy in you, and shake him half to death." And the Corvette didn't even make it into his supercar test..........but the Audi R8 did. (and Jeremy Clarkson IS the voice of cars. What ever he says is law. )

Seriously though, THIS??????

OVER THIS??????

I would use the 70 grand as down payment for this..........and I would give BOTH my ********* for one.

I'm not a huge corvette fan... but I think the Audi there looks kinda lame. But heck, if I had an extra $75K layin' around my house... wtf do I know?!
