Ok im trying to finish up my winter projects. I ended up ordering a lot of paint to paint my bike before i sent my rims off to get powdercoated. Well i was about half way through it when my rims came back from being powdercoated and the red that i painted on my bike is not as exact that i was hoping it would be with the rims. Powdercoating seems a little bit brighter and i like that a lot.

So im wondering if I should.............

1. stop complaining and finish it, the red paint looks fine
2. Order some new red that gets matched by a paint shop, and redo just the red
3. Paint the whole bike that red that matches the rims, ( cause i think the red looks frikkin sweet )
4. Create a new design and just use a little of the red that matches.

I'd hold off for a bit until you can get both outside under natural light. I think it looks cool the way it is based on the pics. I had my rims coated with the matching red of my bike and when I look at them in the flourescent lighting it looks different than outdoors. You can see this (in my gallery pic) in my rims and how the different kinda lighting makes them look different.

I like the color scheme.

 

dude so it looks a little a little brighter than the bike but like illushun said: wait till you get in natural light and go from there.....

and by the way that paint job is killer......

 

I had a similar experience with my front fairing. I got it back and it was several shades different. As it turns out, everyone liked it and I actually changed my mind. Give yourself time to decide if you like it, but if you don't, let the guy know you need it fixed, because you have alreay paid for it to be right.

 

im actually doing the painting all myself, so i can change it whenever i want. Its just 1 of those things that might bug me after a little and i figure "maybe" correct it now. Just trying to see if i should do it or not.

Ill try to look at them both in the outside light tommrrow to compare.

I thinks it looks great. I like the brightness difference. And like you said, You can change it wheneveryou like.

 

Is the bike clear coated yet? If not that will brighten it up a lot, I think it looks good the way it is. Its not a big difference between the red's.

 

I like it the way it is, wait until the first time some girl won't have sex with you because of the color mismatch and then you can change it. It lookfine. enjoy it.
