I'd suggest you finding someone with a D&D (it'll be hard) and listen to it in person. 97f3rider is the first person I've ever heard that likes the D&D tin can sound. Most like the deep tone. I've been around a few D&D and am really thankful that I don't have to ride with them... so if you want loudness.... that's what you'll get.

I have a D&D on my 954 and my friends hate riding behind me because they say it hurts their ears when I roll on the throttle

Don't always assume loud pipes saves lives...

It may help, because you're in slow traffic or city streets and people notice you, but if you're on interstates at higher speeds, you and the cars are running away from the sound of speed so they don’t hear you until you are beside them.

I know in emergency vehicle training, some agencies choose to not run sirens on highways. You do not hear the siren from an ambulance or police car behind you if you're both doing better than 60 mph until they are right on your tail. Then the drivers can freak out and do who knows what?

Loud pipes save lives. When your going down the interstate, that D&D is roaring at 6K-7k rpms, if you cant hear that then your deaf dude.

I do know for a fact, that the V&H provides a little more power over stock, and with the D&D, I didnt notice anything, some might even say you lose some?
