next challenge: your bike in front of a specialty bakery. (cupcakes and cakes)

Thank you 74Demon!!! Was bored to the frayed ends of sanity just sitting at home in this hick of a town I hate, but am still stuck at for at least two years, not wanting to go out, went here to see if there`s anything to do, Instantly jumped into my gear, threw the dog a bone to have something to do for an hour and went off!! Finland is #1 in coffee consumption in the world per capita so we got cafès, oh do we have cafès... Went on a little trip to collect some from two towns, this and the one next to it:

Not a cafe, but a bakery (note the leipä on the sign). This is the bakery renown all over europe by mostly German tourists from it`s rye bread (it`s really good, the only rye bread I eat, and being in the same town, we get first picks so it`s still warm if you go to a store in the morning)


Another bakery, with some of that apocalyptic feel you were wanting a while back. The sign once said LEIPOMO UITOS, but limo ios is all that`s left.. The bakery went belly up almost a decade ago, but the building still stands vacant in the outskirts of the town of Hartola...

And now for the cafè-bakeries: Everything is closed, being sunday, so no cakes in the windows, but:

In the office building of the old town dairy standing on the left side befind me.

Bakery/deli shop upstairs, cafè downstairs. The space downstairs was a restaurant called "Beef Cellar" a few years back,and I was told they had a pretty good selection of beers there, but like all new little shops here, they dry and die before I have the time to go there...

This shop sells pretty funny cheese slicers and bottle openers that a small local shop makes:

The last one is right on the other side of the road of a local kiosk that rents films, so I decided to grab a few beers, Real Steel, Johnny English Reborn, and while I was there, I found THE perfect key chain for my bike:



So,not exactly the cake factory of Duff Goldman, but if some of these suffice:

THE NEXT CHALLENGE:YBNT THE MOST COMPLEXLY CROOKED TREE YOU CAN FIND. should be completable pretty much anywhere...

If not, let me know, so I`ll go to Lahti and Heinola where there`s some wedding cake shops etc. so I`ll get a pic from an actual cake with my bike...

 

Nice ride mattson, but I was going for the duff goldman, trendy cupcake places.

A fine ride anyway, U got me off my **** and got the small town blues to end, so let`s call this a no-go, I`m happy anyhow... I`ll prolly gonna go to work with my bike tomorrow if the temp is above 32f in the morning, so let`s see if I can get a better pic tomorrow, if someone doesn`t beat me to it. Now to fire up the bbq and get the first sausages of this summer and another beer

 

So like a bakery that only sells cupcakes?

 

There are tons of them. But a place that does mostly cupcakes, bday cakes, wedding cakes, etc. not a bread bakery, donut shop, or that kind of stuff.
