I love sleepers. I think he did a great job of making it look stock minus the rims and exhuast. I wouldn't have chosen that car to make a sleeper, but still the engine bay looks great.

 

How the hell is that a sleeper when you can hear it a mile away.

This was crazy and I just can't imagine people on the road who judge this book by it's cover and then SUPRISE ! ! !

It's just lacking the aerodynamics thats all lol

 

Who needs aerodynamics with a twin-turbo ls1? And I would drive the **** out of that car, I'll take a sleeper any day over gaudy four-wheeled bauble. I like everything about it, only thing I would change is make it look even more beat-up...think mismatched and faded paint, maybe a taped up taillight, you get the idea. Then I'd go rice hunting.

 

^+1 i think it would be better if he didnt try and make it look nice, loose the rims nice exhaust pipes and rough up the paint a little and it would jsut seem like a beat up car with a hole in the exhaust making it ungodly loud haha

 

My uncle has a 70 something caprice with a 572 crate motor in it. It has a ford rear end and 3" exhaust all the way back... yeah the thing is heavy as **** and leaves rubber all over the road.
I've driven it once and it kicks my Trans Am's f'n ***. (in the straights that is) Sleepers are awesome.
I know there used to be this video of an astro van that put like 1400 hp to the wheels floating around the internet, havent seen it in a few years though.

 

haha man oh man, my first car was a turbo volvo wagon, no vette engine though...

 

it'd be hard to put together a wicked bad TT Ls1 and stick it in some crap box volvo wagon with faded paint and steelies...the wheels and body are tastefully done. It's not tubbed out or anything.

 

The world record holder for highest miles on a car is a Volvo. Some guy in NY has one with over 2 million miles... That's not as impressive as an LS1 Volvo though.

 

that thing was amazing. If he likes the volvo than he can put whatever the hell he wants in it. I would much rather that engine be in a volvo than a corvette. It's unique, it's something different, he deserves a lot of credit.
