does the first step in that video include 600's too? b/c I've gone a bit into first on my friends YZF 600 then got into it and the front wheel didnt budget until i accidently slipped the clutch a bit going into second at like 13k rpms and the front poped up for a split second about 3 inches. scared the sh*t outta me. But I havent tried one yet on my bike b/c its only got 185 miles on it and I was told not to take it above 7k for the first 400-600 miles.

Not quite sure what the best method for learning how to wheelie is, but I can tell you that the best method for starving your top end for oil is well represented in this video. Anytime you wheelie for longer than like 10-15 seconds, the oil is sloshed away from the pickup in the oil pan. No oil to pickup = low oil pressure = not enough oil to all important cams/crank/rods...think about it.
