I install LED kits regularly on bikes. The biggest mistake people make is not taking their time to take the fairings off and install the strips where they are not seen. The next mistake people make is not tucking the wires correctly where they will not be seen and will not be burned by hot exhaust. If done correctly LED lighting can be a nice accesory that will had flair to your ride. If you are going to install it I recommend you go and buy some zip ties and some some butt connectors so that you can make your wires shorter and you can secure your wires away from the exhaust.

+1

My buddy installed his kit on the fairings and you can see the strips on the bottom as well as running down the undertail and it looks super cheap, also he has to disconnect all the strips anytime he takes the fairings off.

On my install you cannot see any of the LED's from standing height as they are all tucked away and all the wiring is ziptied to the frame of running with the other stock wires.

Like them on some bikes, but I wouldn't have them on mine.

don't worry, I plan on doing it correctly... but i refuse to use any connectors just a place for water to collect and give me problems. I plan on just soldering everything and putting heatshrink around all connections.

I'm not about being subtle, I aim to get noticed but I agree with the hidden. You should only see the glow! Crappy iphone pic:

I like them, but I would only install them if I was working on a show-quality bike.

And for the record riding around with LEDs is UberSquidTastic.

Parkin lot Pimpin gets a pass though.
