Wait. I didn't see the dudes right hand move off the wheel at all? Is it an automatic?!?!

Paddle shifters maybe.
Yep. It's a "flappy paddle gearbox".......pretty much an automatically shifted manual transmission. (blips the throttle, syncs up next gear, de-clutches, changes gear, re-engages clutch...........all that in a couple hundredths of a second.)

Oh god that stuff is gay. I drove a Jeep Commander with that kinda stuff. Its like "Oh I would like to go down a gear!" and the jeep is like "Oh I'll shift down in about 1 minute" and 5 minutes later, down shift. wtf

I'm sure on a $300,000 exotic they got that stuff worked out a little better than Chrysler. I wouldn't compare a F1 shifter to a Dodge shifter.

But on the hands not off the wheel. I remember watching a special on the History Channel(Yes I'm cool) about the Autobahn in Germany. And how when German engineers would come here to work with American Engineers. They couldn't grasp why someone would want Cup Holders in a car. Because to them driving is a two handed sport.

Because for some unknown reason, just about every American doesn't view driving as a sport or activity, they view it as a chore or something they "have to do" rather than want to do. We buy cheap *** cars (the only reason why Ford, Chevy, Chrysler are still in business) and really don't care about refinement. And when people do spend money on a car, they tend to buy full-size 4x4 V8 SUV's to haul their 1 child around to soccer practice and back, then bitch about gas prices.

I laughed at my roommate when he goes "yeah, my truck gets good milage, I can go 450 miles on a single tank."........I always reply with a "yeah, and your truck holds 28 gallons too, do the math." I still have no idea why he bought it. All he does is commute back and forth to work. Oh well, guess I don't understand some peoples reasoning.

3. On I-285 in Atlanta if you aren't traveling 80mph then you are going to get ran over. The speed limit is 55mph. Anyone who has gone through Atlanta probably knows what I am talking about.
YES, I have. I have a very heavy lead foot but I swear to you... They need to put signs up before you get near Atlanta that say "Gentlemen, Start your engines!!", If you're not from here, pull overto get your raceendorsement first. Those people HAUL A$$ around there. lol

No crap. When I'm in our Box Truck that tops out at 72mph we are just sitting ducks. And merging is a whole new activity. The art to merging is to hit your turn signal then merge immediatly. If you put your turn signal on and wait for a few seconds. The car behind you will merge over and pass you to get back in front of you even though you were getting out of their way anyways.

Now between 6am and 10am there is no moving on the interstate in any direction. Not on the Perimeter or any interstates 50miles out. It gets jammed.

But on a funny note some College students from Georgia State University decided to do an experiment with I-285. They decided to run the 63mile Perimeter and obeying the law and not going over 55mph at all. And they did it 4lanes deep so no one can pass them.
Here is the video about it...

Also our Perimeter (Nicknamed Watermelon 500 by truckers) has nighlty motorcycle races around it. The cops gave up on trying to catch them too because well they can't catch them even with their Turbochop.

Not ********. They did nothing wrong. Yes, you do have a passing lane and shouldn't really be driving in it butthis practice isnot enforced. What is an ******* is the people doing 75+mph in a 55mph zone killing people because they couldnt stop in time for some reason. Or the ******** that passed them on the side of the road running into a disabled vehicle... They merely were trying to get media coverage to try to fix the problem with this road. Either raise the speed limit or get an amry of cops and monitor that **** like no tomorrow.
