Depends on how aggressive you get with the gearing. It should make it easier to lift up though. Be carfull, your bike will rev out much quicker with altered gearing.

Yeah, you have to get a 600 within 9-11k to get the front wheel up without clutching.... I usually take it up to 40-45 in first then dump it and get on it when the forks come back up and it comes up pretty easy....

rrasco if you gear down one in the front and two up in the back you will still have to dump the clutch to get that thing off of the ground. 600's are a little bit harder to just roll on the throttle and bring up the front especially with a bike of your age (speaking from experience used to own one of those).

Do you guys dump the throttle in 1st or 2nd? I rolled on hard like in the video and brought my o6 600rr up to 12k rpms and I got nothing. I weight about 205. What about slipping the clutch? That seems like it would be better than dumping the throttle?

The best way to learn a wheelie is get used to it coming up in first. Bring it up to about 15 or 20 then chop the throttle off then about 1/2 way real fast and it will bring it up. Just take it slow and go a inch or foot at a time till you get used to it coming up. In 2nd the only way your getting it up is by jumping on it or clutching it up. Ill attatch a lil vid of me learning the stand up is in 1st gear chopping the throttle and the sitdowns are clutching it up
