They each have their place. I have a killer PC that is my exclusive gamer, no consoles for me.

It does have amazing graphics and capabilities the other systems don't have yet, but for the price america isn't ready for it, hell I'm not ready for it. I have actually given a lot of thought to buying a 360 instead. I just can't justify 6 bills on a video game system.Rumor has it the 360 will be dropping its price another $100 this fall, and that very well could be the end for the ps3.

 

Played Gran Turismo HD on it, wasn't impressed. Looks EXACTLY like the Xbox 360 (definatly NOT worth the extra $$$). Plus, the new black 360 with HDMI is coming out in a month or so (to counter-sell the PS3 launch in the UK and Australia). It'll also be released here.......same price. Honestly, the PS3 is a large, oversized, overheating, over-priced Blu-Ray player (which is loosing the current format war to Toshiba's HD-DVD). Sure Sony has more corporate backing, but consumers have been purchasing the HD-DVD 2:1 against the overpriced Blu-Ray. (I'm a Home Theater Professional at work). So it's not looking good for the "world-dominating" aspirations that Sony has set itself up for.

.........but they do make a damn good LCD flat panel HDTV though.

i love my ps2 and i have played an xbox but my g/f is a diehard 360 fan so when we move in together its gonna be interesting lol and i am getting a ps3 soon so hell yeah death to xbox lol
