This is a video from May of this year. I am in the other lane. This is the first time I got to watch it. Allen is 6"1' 230lbs strong guy!! This was the first weekend riding his new ZX14.

THAT was CLOSE...seen it happen before there was one video were the racer ended up like Ontop of his bike
His face was like near the headlight and he controled the bike.
Un freakin beleivable...

 

A pretty bad headshake, but i wouldnt call it a tank slapper or anything. He did just what you are supposed to, dont panic, dont brake hard, and ride it out.

Dont those things come stock with a dampener? I cant believe he bought one of those beasts.

 

no they don't come with a dampner. The video was hard to see in spots but his wife told me he came up on a huge wheelie then slammed it down. The part that got me was the smoke coming off of his foot

 

I think the smoke came from just the back tire but he kicked his foot back and it does look like it comes from his foot.

P.S. I never saw the wheelie and you can see him almost the whole time.

 

wow I just noticed the wheelie watch the video again and pay attention to his front tire.

Did he save a school bus full of orphans before the race or something? That is pretty lucky.

 

AHHHH, I saw the wheelie. I couldnt see it in the slow mo but I could in the regular one. Weird....
I wouldnt call that a "Monster" wheelie though. More like a little 2 footer.

 

if you watch closely, theres actually smoke from the tire AND the shoe.... good save, good save

Watch in slow mo when he is almost off the camera you can see it raise up on him.
