There's a link under the video to watch in Standard or High resolution but it's still a far cry from real HD because youtube compresses the heck out of it. Why don't you post the same vid on Vimeo as a test to see if the lack of quality is on your end or youtubes extreme compression? I'm betting it's the latter.
Also, yah, I see what you mean about the shakiness. On my mount I used bungee cords and strapped it tightly around the camera for extra stabilization. I also rigged up a do-ma-hickey thingy-ma-jiggy (technical term) underneath the camera and duct taped the &*^*) out of it to act something li.ke a softening damper for bumps.
