Default first pics of the Cane!

hello everyone

posted up in this section a few days ago, but without pics!

how dare i do such a thing! so heres some pics of the new 88 Cane with my Focus

for the car enthusiasts:

the focus is a..
2006 Ford Focus ST (hard to find ride! 2.3L duratec engine instead of 2.0 duratec engine, independent rear suspension, 5 speed, etc.)

MODS
HKS test pipe & catback, exedy stage 2 clutch/flywheel, AEM cold air intake (Injen filter), Eibach springs & sway bars, Koni Yellow shocks, KYB AGX dampers, yellow HID fog lights (not in pictures), 17" SVT black wheels (not in pictures cause its winter)

the cane is completely stock, except for the exhaust. which by the way, does ANYBODY know what the heck exhaust is on my Cane? or is it stock? it was there from the previous owner and sounds WAY to loud and nice to be an OEM exhaust.

thanks!

hahaha nawwwzzzz! its actually being considered though, no joke.. the focus already makes ~185 HP which isnt terrible considering it was about 155 stock

and more Cane pics will come in the dry, warm weather, so keep your eye out for them come march or so!

ps... anybody know anything about my exhaust? is it stock or otherwise?

thanks

Doesn't look stock...

Looks like the Cobra F1r... probably needs repacked.

Agree. You won't gain 30hp off a four cylinder of any size that doesn't belong in a commercial tractor from just an intake and exhaust. It's actually more likely to have less than stock HP if it has some mileage on it. Cold air intakes are usually worth about 3hp or so, despite claims by the manufacturers. Generally they used figures from their largest engines with very restrictive intakes to get those numbers, same as K&N does. It's worth noting that the actual GT circuit racers in the unlimited classes have sponsors like AEM but don't actually use their kits. In fact, they generally don't use intakes at all. Many of the 4 banger crowd are using Mikuni carbs with air horns if they have no engine restrictions.

On the up side, with lighter cars you'll be more apt to feel small power increases, sometimes as little as 10hp, due to the weight.

Yeah I doubt you will get 30hp off an exhaust and air filter .. definitely not to the wheels.

My old 2.7L Tiburon with 172bhp just got to ~210fwhp after doing Headers, Exhaust, Intake, Stage 4 Intake Manifold (Upper + Lower) and a relatively aggressive cam. Thankfully, I moved onto an LS1 GTO now with 335rwhp... BUT, motorcycles are definitely more enjoyable than cars anyways!

Bike looks good for 23 years old.
