Default A few videos from our ride yesterday (12-24)

So I've spent my last couple days off playing around up in the mountains (sorry northern peeps.... I know I know.... shoot me later [&:]). I got to thinking.... I haven't tried out the video cam in forever, so I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a necessary part to my 'good' camera mount (the adjustable one), so I had to use my old fixed position one instead, which as you can tell cuts off right in the middle of the speedo, lol. The wide angle lens helps out ALOT though compared to the regular lens

I apologize for the really bad video quality.... I had to compress each down from about 400-500 MB each, to under 100MB. Then when I uploaded them it got compressed even more, and the little remaining quality they had disappeared, and the video quality is total crap now No knocking my video editing skillz (or lack thereof, lol)... I just threw these together quick. I'm not that fast up there by any means.... actually pretty slow compared to some of these guys (hence the reason I'm in the back all the time, lol). Not really up there to race anybody anyways.... just out to have some fun and enjoy the ride I couldn't quite seem to get in my usual rythm though.... really don't know why

Anyways... enjoy!!

1st... Blood Mountain - US 129 in N. GA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oyai_Q7ekvI

2nd... Wolfpen Gap Rd - GA 180. My bike seems to have developed some shifting issues here... it didn't want to stay in 3rd gear at all after you rolled off the throttle, kept shifting back to 2nd. I guess I've gotta reaplace my shift star and detent spring soon! [:@]

3rd... LOL this one is pretty boring... the road I live on, going back to my house. I guess it could be a little fun going fast enough! hahah

That's all... maybe more next weekend if I go out. I was gonna head up early today to Deals Gap but ended up sleeping until noon....oops

Nice!!!! Weather looks awesome for this time of year.

Had a hard time watching with the sound on.
Kept making me want to sit in a corner and get a back rub from some chick covered in glitter

[sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif] LOL Like I said... just something I threw together quick. I just found whatever ambiance type music I could find on bearshare with no copyright protection, and in it went, hahah. Hey I could have used some 70's porno music! [&:]

But yea the weather was pretty nice! About 55-60 and sunny all day. But man soon as the sun went down, it got pretty chilly! I kept having to put more layers on as I made my way home (about an hour and a half). Beautiful day to ride though... and no traffic! Today wasn't quite as nice... overcast with rain in the forecast. I went for a short ride around town today but nothing major

LOL.... Thought you would get a kick out of that. I love all kinds of music. Used to hold my own parties back in the early-mid 90's. When they were still parties and not quite mainstream yet.

Weather here sucks. Yesterday was real good, cold but clear. Got caught with snow again on my way home today. Cant wait till spring/summer time.

I need to move somewhere warmer.

You look like you have a good, responsible pace to your riding. I like seeing that.

Thanks!! While I do enjoy a spirited ride just as much as the next guy, safety is still a top priority for me. I don't like to push my luck.... not on the street, and especially on these roads (180 is NOT a road you want to f**k up on!!). If I want to ride ***** to the wall I'll go to the track, where I know if I go down I'm not gonna slide off a cliff, into a tree, or have my head chopped off by a guardrail (happened to a buddy of mine... they really are like razors). I just stay in my 'comfort zone', and leave a little buffer still just cuz ya never know. I always enjoy the ride more that way, even if I am the last one in everytime... doesn't bother me any

I dunno I've never been one to 'toot my own horn', but I've always considered myself to be a responsible and courteous rider. I try to at least.... that's also why I wear this... every ride, every time

Along with my Shoei lid, Nitro boots, gloves, ect as well. Along with not riding like a total jackass, it's all part of being a responsible rider, IMHO... cuz ya just never know And with as much as I ride, if I rode like a jackass and/or didn't dress properly, I'd probably be dead by now

Nice clips, your right about taking it slow on 129 and 180.I saw a guy on a superhawk go off in the ditch in the 1st 180 degree turn on hwy180 coming from 129 one morning and about 11 other people picked up that day on 129 and 180.Even saw a guy flip a scooter over the guard rail coming up 129 that day.I 'm the same as you always the last one their at TWO.

Absolutely.... really any of these roads, you go down at any kind of speed, you're done [:-] I haven't personally watched anyone go down here yet (seen plenty of people go down in front of me in other places though... not fun), but I've heard plenty of stories. Enough to keep me in check

Hey I just realized you're in Buford... cool! Not far away from me at all... we'll have to meet up sometime! Are you on GSB or BSB??
