how did he get airborn???

 

wow....it looks like he hit just the edge of the rock to get airborn, but i think he ment to go down the middle of it thats why he tried to steer back and thats when the scooter decided to go the other way....

i hope hes ok but its funny as he!!

i dont understand how he gets up from a faceplant to the ground......the fat on his cheeks absorbed the shock?

 

It looks like he pulled back and set his weight back enough (doesnt take much in this case) to get it off the ground when he guns it. there was also a bump there he ramped off of. again another facebook worthy video from jpan

 

he clearly was trying to get a little air off what looked to be a little rise in the ground - that's exactly how I would have worked it on one of my bikes.

the problem is he got crossed up coming off the lip, and that the tires and suspension were no where near up to the task of absorbing the resulting compression, and the skill level of the rider to deal with an in-air change of trajectory probably wasn't that great either. guessing he doesn't do this on a regular basis. Or again.
