Truth is, I've never even played the original Halo. What type of game is it? FPS?

 

It is an excellent FPS that you should play through all the games. If you haven't played two, find an xbox (I got mine for free), Halo1, play it, find halo 2, play it, and then mooch off your friends for H3 b/c the damn 360 is too expensive. Heck, I still enjoy H2 and I've played H3 a bunch. You really need H1 to understand the story line because it is a great story line. There is a reason it is so addictive. Plus, you can do a co-op with your friends to complete levels which is much better than playing alone or fighting against each other. I get REALLY compedative when I play my friends.
