He was riding home from the dealership that had just mounted his tires. Obviously it wasn't THEIR fault[:'(] But in the end they bought him another ride and paid his medical. Basically what happened was as he merged onto the interstate the bead on the front tire just blew causing him to low side under a semi. He was very fortunate!

i hate how poeple always tell horror stories when you tell them you ride a bike. Yes it is dangerious and if we didnt know that how stupid would we have to be? I dont really get it... anyways yes **** like that happens and it could be you but what are the chances that happens to you in a car? at home? walking down the street. Nothing is really not dangerious and therefore when you do stuff just be smart and wear the right gear for what your doing. it will save you from those small mistakes you make or it might not. But if your not wearing it just think how bad it would be then.

 

Unfortunate circumstances indeed. However, if he was a true rider maybe that how he would've preferred to go. I told my friends if we are ridin on the edge of sanity and I was to crash and die, that to not feel bad for me cause I was doing somethin I love. How many people get killed just for steppin out of the house in the morning for somethin dumb. Death is always worse for the living because we get to see the aftermath and the horror left behind. The one that is dead doesn't have a care in the world. Heck you never know, he could've had a crappy job, bills up to his eyeballs, a girlfriend that cheated on him, and a constant pain somewhere in his body. He might be better off.

 

Dr -- you certainly have a different outlook than most. I've actually heard my wife say that to her friends and family when they were worried about my murdercycle. So at least she gets it.
