+1! Real sharp, LJ. I like it. I love the way they sound with pipes.
There's a kid I work with who's selling a silver 600 for cheap and I'd like to grab it but the wife would straight up kill me. lol..

haha the wife was glad to see me getting a bike that didnt need work..

I love the sound of it with the yosh pipe, i also love that it only has a sigle pipe unlike the double stock pipes. makes it look kind of like a 650 but way faster..

and she wouldnt kill you im sure she may be mad but in the end maybe a few years later she would get over it lol

That is until you start considering doing the gixxer front end swap, rear shock upgrade, etc etc etc. SVs are fun bikes to mod. You should see what the SV racers do to theirs!

Anyway, congrats. Hope you enjoy it.

hahaha no way.. I have put thought into the gsxr front end swap... but this isnt a track bike(though i will take it on the track) and its not a 650, and no racing will be done on it.. i plan to leave it alone and enjoy the comfortabillity of it for longer hauls. like the moto gp ride this year.

only usee on the track is a learning experiance.. i plan on getting a track only bike by next year then the mods will start...

Torque.....

By the way LJ, I like the SV's but hands down the TL type S would have been my first choice of Suzuki's V-Twin

yea I know a guy selling a tl1000r for dirt cheap right now... just they are a lot bigger than the sv its super thin and just a all around great bike...

Jpan

specs based off of
2003 SV1000s
2005/06 ninja 636
2009 CBR 1000rr
ALL INFO WAS GATHERED FROM WIKI....

torque
636 has 44.1 lb·ft @ 11,750 rpm
SV1000s has 75 lb·ft @ 7,200 rpm
CBR has 82.6 lb·ft @ 8,500 rpm
HP
636 105 hp @ 12,250 rpm
SV1000s 120 hp @ 9000 rpm
CBR 178 hp @ 12,000 rpm

weight
636 403.0 lb (182.8 kg) dry
SV 420 lb (189 kg) (dry)
CBR 385 lb (175 kg)

so for a 1000 compared to a 600 i have a little more hp but am pushing almost twice the torque

and a v twin 1000 compared to a inline 4 1000.. i have less of everything... (except weight)

the bike is more or less like a 750
Also please consider the year differences of the bikes the sv i own is the oldest of the bunch but still puts out numbers with the top prodution bikes of the last few years

i can roll on the gas in any gear and go instead of having to shift down and then roll on the throttle
