I think almost 5,000 miles in 17 days will be plenty for a while!

Would be about an hour, two hours out of your way depending on how hard an fast you ride.
Good advice, thanks. This is the kinda info i'm looking for.

This would be fantastic, 20 days gone from my territory(work) has me stressed out enough though.

Have you worked out how you will ship your bikes back? I have shipped cars but not bikes. Do you have to have them crated?
I've done 405 and 415 miles on my CBR two days this summer. So I know I can do it. Problem is they're all BACK to BACK to BACK long days. the really long days are in more flat open spaces between spots though, so hopefully its not as bad. Plan is to leave in the mornings and take our times with the travel, but we will see.

And as far as the bikes go, two friends have shipped bikes. its cheaper the more you have, but they take care of all the storage etc. put blankets and strap them down etc for you.

I imagine I won't want to look at the bike for a couple weeks after the trip anyways Theo you can put new tires on her and bring her back for me.

Girlfriend's brother + wife are going there for a wedding (wife is Vietnamese, someone in her family is getting married), girlfriend wants to go with. I've never been out of the US so I thought it'd be interesting.

Man, doubling (tripling??) her miles in a single trip. You're going to kill Lois' resale value

We have some extra days out there so certainly a possibility.

We'll have to exchange numbers before I leave, if we could link up that would be awesome.
