How many close calls/near misses? :P We all hope for none but of course because of other drivers(sometimes) this is impossible
I've had a few, a couple other drivers not paying attention and once around a mid speed corner I was maybe gettin it too much and lost rear wheel traction for a second but recovered, thankfully.
I'll be investing in some frame sliders soon I think.

I've put close to 700 miles on mine. Most of it is from joyriding after work and weekends. Also a few trips to the dealership for maintenance I plan on going to Arizona soon, and that'll be my first long trip. (around 800 miles total). I've had a few close calls as well. Albuquerque have a few lights that tend to change pretty quickly, and I've locked my back brake a few times trying not to run the light.
I was quite scared how smooth it was when I was skidding to a stop. It's almost like you're floating

3 pedestrians crossing a 4 lane road, my bright yellow bike must not be obvious enough, I was at the speed limit(40 give or take a couple).
When they walked in front of me (about 20 yards ahead) I didnt really react quick enough to swoop in another lane, not to mention when they finally seen me they froze like deer, amazing.
But ya I too was skidding and your right it is like floating. I probably skid about 15 or 20 feet before regaining traction and quickly switching lanes. Didnt even have time to give em the middle finger.
Scary stuff
