My sunday ride to Kelowna and back
So on sunday me and a co-worker decided, since the weather was looking decent and all, that'd we finally stretch our legs and get some miles on our bikes.
The day started out fairly sunny and was a reasonable temp. I rode to his house to meet up and then we headed out shortly after I got there. We took the barnhartvale rd as its got lots of twisties and is generally pretty nice. Unfournately we still have places around here with gravel on the roads but luckily there was minimal on barnhartvale. From that rd we joined highway 97 to vernon... WHEEEEEEEE! I love that road because the conditions are always awesome and setup perfectly for practising apexing and leaning, the whole shi-bang!
We stopped in Vernon for a quick bite to eat. It's funny walking into a restaurant wearing pretty much a full-out race suit... you get all sorts of looks. LOL From vernon we headed to kelowna.. saw a few bikes on the way. As a side note, Id like to add that probably 99.9% of harley owners are complete dicks. They never wave except to other harley owners.... **** EM!
In kelowna we rode along harvey/97 for a bit and eventually ended up at the beach to relax and enjoy the sights a bit
We eventually got our stuff together and from there we headed over the bridge to Westside rd... HOLY CRAP.. thats definetly interesting. TONS AND TONS of corners and tight bends. Definelty takes a bit out of ya riding that road for 30+ mins.
On our way back to Falkland for gas, it started to rain!!! Damn that sucks when your trying to ride and constantly wipe your visor.. thank god for nice warm gear!!
From Falkland we headed back towards Kamloops to wind up a generally awesome day of riding... Can't wait to go again
on to the pics:
Damn I love this bike! what an addictive hobby
