Default How do you map your road trip?

Do you guys use a simple road map/and a water proof tank bag?

GPS with mulitple points?

Play the 'turn left' ....'turn right'....game at each interesection?

My android phone is pretty good at voice nav (helpful because I dont have to look at the gps while riding) - but having a hard time plotting mulitple scenic points.

Do you use anything specific?

Cool

I use GPS. Just cause it says that I have to turn left does not mean that I do. If this road looks good to go down thats looks good to me to good down. But then the GPS recalculates and I do end up where I need to go. Also when I do get lost, GPS knows where the gas stations are and knows how to get back home.

Yeah I used to use my gps when I would get lost intentionally. I find some trips online and love to map it out ahead of time. A lot of left and rights on random little back roads. Thats what I'd love to be able to track before I go out.

ohh...never thought of that. that would do exactly what I would want with my phone without mounting it to the handlebars (id be afraid a bump would loose it).

You get rained on with that setup?

Do you have multiple destinations setup with googlemaps? Or do you use that for simple navigation?

Can you string them along? I can't find that ability. My gps is too good at finding a direct route. I don't want to be direct -- I want to wander around.

Regular maps are satisfying, though. They make me feel like a famous explorer.
