Default Bike Weekend conesville Iowa

This event is put on by a harley club. But the welcome all types of bikes. Of course You will always have a few loosers telling you to get a real bike, but most of them are very cool people. They do it twice a year once in end of may and once at the end of summer. Here is the link

I went to the one in May and had a blast. There is 1/8 mile drag racing, food, boxing, bands, alot of little events goin every night so its pretty hard to get bored there. Its a camping weekend and its only $35.00 to stay and camp all weekend and another $25.00 to race all weekend.
I will definately be going back in the fall.
Did i mention they do a Mardi Gras bead thing there too?

Hey, thanks for the post. I'm always on the lookout for events around where I live here in IA. Didn't know about this one, but it looks like a lot of fun!

Thanks GRL! I'll have to get some pics uploaded when I get back to my office in a couple days. I'm layed up here at home for the next couple days after a stomach surgery [:'(].
As far as the mods go...I havent realy done anything motor wise power commander aside and a yoshi slip on. I do need to though, I cant tell for sure yet, but im pretty sure that wide tire kit has slowed me down a bit between weight added to the bike, and added rotating weight from the wheel. I can tell it has made some impact beacuse at this conesville thing I did some drag racing there and was having alot more trouble launching the bike than I used to...that dead zone the 1000's have before 3000 rpm has become alot more prominent now somehow. I know I started out launching at 7000 and slipping the clutch, but the bike now seems to want to return to under 3000 rpm and kind of feels loaded down. I dont know how else to describe it. I have a front sprokett on the way to try and remidy that and hope to get around to having it tuned here soon.

I couldnt even tell you who made the wide tire kit, but i know there are a few company's out there doing it now. Most the work done on that bike was preformed by my buddy since kindergarden Jim at exotic polishing (exoticpolishing.com) <--- I think thats right..Everything on there is polished with the exception of the engine covers and the Vega wheels. He does realy nice work as you can see, but be prepared to wait lol.
If anyone is in the chicago area, if all goes well, the bike is going to be in the "Hot Import Nights" show at McCormick place this July.

Tahnks again Everyone for making me feel so welcome, I love this group already!
Eddie
