After fueling up the bike in Cache Crk, i headed south towards the Us Borders.
the weather was amazing, and i didnt know that on this stretch even tho it was an desert scenic, the roads were so nice, lots of mountains twisty.
...And then we got back into some boring straight highways...and it happened again. hot weather, i got drowsy and start to fall to sleep.
This time i pulled off the highway and found this nice bench without much people around and went into a highway nap.
after about no more than 15 minutes, i woke up in a startled !!onder:
haha , i was like where da Buck am i ???..then notice i've taken a nap. drank some water , got back on the bike and south we come.
Notice i have duck tape holding my G9 mount, on the first day of the trip, the adhesice decided to come off .:banghead:
Arrived into another small town before getting near the US border, forgot the name of this town..
Fuel the bike up and took about a 20 min break, also lube the chain, and had to make a phone call to my CC company cause they locked my card again!!
First was in Smithers i believe.all breezzy now:banger:
meet a few other local riders at the gas stop too, we chatted for a bit and i explain them where i was headed, they said it was going to be another 2 hours or so till i reached the border, but if i wanted to get to Seattle , i be there by night time..meaning 11-12 pm..
and that's exactly what happened. :cruising:
---------------------------------
just an easy cruise from here till the border, there was one section on the highway where i passed these farms, and oh geeeez it freaking stank !!! cow poop!!
i was suffering in my helmet..CLOSED. and when i open my lid up, it was worse, i can taste in my tongue..noom noom
------------------------------------
By the time i arrived at the US custom, it was still daylight, not exactly sure what the time was, but no issue crossing, patrol asked the basic questions and purpose of travel, carry on i went.
Finally arrived in WA.
When i first arrived , after a few miles, i spotted the first biker, it was t-shirt CBR rider.. just waved him down and nodded , pretty cool dude.
i slowly wonder into Bellingham,by the time i got to the gas station. it was either get a room now before it gets dark , or keep riding till i reached my cousin's place, whose located in Kent...
after little thought , i said whatever, and keep riding south .
OMG
i have never seen so much TRAFFIC, even tho it was past "rush" hours. there was still tons on traffic on I-5.
Drivers weren't so bad , cause they know exactly where there going, but to me it was a bit of confusing at the moment, there was so many exits, ramp here and there. little warning of which exits to take.
so Thankful i have brought my GPS.
somewhere near Seattle, the sun had set already and navigating now was PITA, i got lost around this little town for a bit, until my gps came in and sent me to the right directions to my cousin's place, it was about another hour or so till we would arrive in Kent.
Late arrival, probably was midnight by then, this was taken the next morning, made it safely tho.
Few things i've learn quickly, they have gas pump that has the pressure thingy that wont let gas come out unless u pressed it. i took 5 minutes trying to find out .hahah had to ask another local lady wtf was going on with my pump.
Lanes, they don't have full stripes, instead they glue these little "pucks" down.
oh and watch out for these crazy lane dividers. almost hit one during night time.
maybe its just me, but these were all new to me.
Finally took a rest from riding and spent the day touring around Seattle.
went to the Westfield mall in the morning to look around , ate some good PHO.
Cousins and i then headed to Seattle to check out the space Needle and the Farmers market.

The set set of Michelin road 3 were installed new when the trip took off.
They ended at 7,241 miles... But but the front could have gotton a little over another 1k miles I'm suture. And the rear maybe another 1k , I somehow ran into a nail the other day. That's why I swapped them, and am currently running on TKC80, for my upcoming trip to Deadhorse.
The chain and sprocket was installed when he bike read 30,652 miles on odometer last season, and the trip ended at 45,000 miles.
Both sprockets are still in great shape (Driven steel kit /520/stock gearings)... But the chain stretch a bit.
Every time I adjust it to the right slack, after a few hundreds miles. I get about 1/2" or less more slack.
Planning to get a new kit this winter .
How the bike sits now for this weekends trips, so not much time to post. But will update the ride report. Cheers and enjoy riding!
